Jack paced in Holly’s living room, marshaling his cock into submission as he tried to wrap his brain around this insane turn of events. He paced restlessly, about to wear a hole in the floor as he continued to consider her situation. He supposed he should be happy that she came to him and not some random asshole who’d go at her like a douchebag. Yeah, he had a reputation as a love ’em and leave ’em kind of guy—and that reputation just happened to be true—but at least he’d see to it that she was cared for properly, and not left feeling used and heartbroken at the end of two weeks. He snorted at the irony of it all. She needed two weeks, and two weeks was his breaking point in a relationship. It wasn’t that he didn’t want more. Heck, he wanted what his parents had, and if he found the right woman, he’d settle down. Except the right woman wasn’t out there for him. Everyone wanted something from him. Fame, gifts…sex.

A sound behind him gained his attention, and he spun to find Danielle standing there, watching him. She lifted her arms and let them fall to her sides, and he knew in a second that there was no way in hell he could walk away from this—from her. Honest to God, the woman was completely unaware of her allure, and it’d take a whole team of defense linebackers to drag him away from this game she was playing.

She pushed her glasses up, the move so hot he nearly sank to his knees and hauled her down with him. “This is me,” she said, the warm pink flush on her cheeks making her look sexier than ever. His glance raked over her, taking in her jeans and V-neck T-shirt. She was beautiful, in a wholesome, girl-next-door kind of way, and it made his cock ache harder than it ever had before.

He adjusted his pants, and her eyes widened. “Beautiful,” he said, without bothering to apologize. She made him hard, and he’d be damned if he was going hide it from her. Let her know what she did to him—let her see the fucked up state he was in.
